Maestría en Bosques y Gestión de Recursos ForestalesEl estudio se realizó en una superficie de 531.45 ha del Bosque de Producción Permanente, ubicado en la provincia de Padre Abad, departamento de Ucayali, concesionada por el Estado bajo la modalidad de concesión forestal con fines maderables. Las técnicas para el manejo de bosques naturales húmedos tropicales en el Perú, y de los ocho países que forman la cuenca amazónica y poseen Bh-T se concentran en la planificación y ejecución de actividades de aprovechamiento; siendo poco conocido las técnicas de evaluación y determinación del potencial maderable de los bosques naturales “deseable sobre saliente” y su subsecuente tratamiento silvicultural luego de la cosecha. En este contexto, esta investigación tiene como objetivo aplicar el muestreo diagnóstico, el muestreo ecológico y de remanencia para determinar la capacidad de un bosque natural remanente “bosque concesionado por la empresa forestal VON HUMBOLDT FOREST SAC.” para producir madera aserrada. Los principales resultados muestran 255 árboles comerciales ha, de ellos 15 árboles ha están listos para la cosecha inmediata por ser árboles mayores de 40 cm de DAP. El género (Virola sp) fue la especie de mayor abundancia y dominancia en el bosque secundario (IVI 26.56) y las familias con mayor abundancia son MORACEAE y FABACEAE. Por la proyección del mercado nacional de la madera se prevé que la madera seria demandada para estructuras, mueblería, durmientes y viviendas prefabricadas, lo cual muestra su sostenibilidad económica. El costo del muestreo diagnóstico, silvicultural y de remanencia por hectárea oscila entre S/. 27.00 y 30.00 soles ha, por lo que constituye en técnicas de medición y evaluación sumamente asequibles a pequeños propietarios de bosques húmedos tropicales naturales del Perú.The study was carried out on an area of 531.45 ha of the Permanent Production Forest, located in the province of Padre Abad, department of Ucayali, concessioned by the State under the modality of forest concession for timber purposes.
