Se concluye que el magnesio es esencial para procesos como la fotosíntesis y la acumulación de carbohidratos, desempeñando un rol clave en el crecimiento vegetativo y la floración. Sin embargo, concentraciones excesivas de Mg de 4 mEq/L (T3) a los 1.5 mEq/L existentes en el agua de riego utilizado en el desarrollo del presente trabajo de investigación causan desbalances nutricionales que afectan negativamente el calibre y peso de los frutos, además de interferir con la absorción de elementos como el calcio y potasio. La concentración de 2 mEq/L (T2) suministrada a la solución de fertirriego, expresó una dosis moderada de magnesio, lo cual optimizó la floración, incrementó el diámetro y longitud de los brotes, y logró el mayor peso total de frutos, estableciendo un equilibrio entre crecimiento y desarrollo. En cambio, T3 mostró efectos adversos significativos. En resumen, el uso de Mg debe ser balanceado para maximizar beneficios y evitar impactos negativos en la calidad y rendimiento de los frutos.The experiment analyzes the effect of different concentrations (0, 2, and 4 mEq/L) of magnesium, using magnesium sulfate pentahydrate as the source, on the development and quality of blueberry fruits. The study evaluates parameters such as titratable acidity, soluble solids, firmness, dry matter, fruit size, weight, and nutrient absorption. The findings conclude that magnesium is essential for processes such as photosynthesis and carbohydrate accumulation, playing a key role in vegetative growth and flowering. However, excessive magnesium concentrations of 4 mEq/L (T3) to the 1.5 mEq/L present in the irrigation water used in the development of this research work causes nutritional imbalances that negatively affect fruit size and weight, in addition to interfering with the absorption of elements such as calcium and potassium. The concentration of 2 mEq/L (T2), representing a moderate magnesium dose, optimized flowering, increased shoot diameter and length, and achieved the highest total fruit weight, establishing a balance between growth and development. In contrast, T3 exhibited significant adverse effects.
