El trabajo consistió en sistematizar las compras públicas de madera y productos de madera durante los años 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 y 2022. El objetivo general del trabajo es analizar cualitativa y cuantitativamente las compras públicas de madera en la región Cusco durante el período 2018 – 2022, y proyectar la demanda futura de compras públicas en la región Cusco. La metodología empleada consistió en el acopio de información del Sistema de Inteligencia de Negocios del OSCE (CONOSCE) de donde se extrajo el Plan Anual de Compras (PAC), instrumento de gestión logística, que facilitó la descarga y digitado de los contratos del Sistema Electrónico de Contrataciones del Estado (SEACE) en una base de datos Excel para el procesamiento y análisis. En ese sentido, se determinó que el 66 % de las adquisiciones de madera y sus productos se realizó mediante adjudicación simplificada, identificando al Programa de Desarrollo Productivo Agrario Rural - Agro Rural como la entidad con mayor demanda de madera. Asimismo, la madera aserrada es el producto más demandando con el 63.8% de participación respecto al volumen, la especie registrada como “madera corriente", es la más demandada con una participación del 20.5%. Asimismo, para los siguientes años se proyecta una mayor cantidad demandada de madera en el departamento de Cusco, donde las municipalidades serán los principales demandantes de madera aserrada para proyectos de construcción principalmente.This document describes my work experience as a forestry consultant for the competitiveness component of the USAID Pro-Bosques Project in 2023. The work was about organizing information on public purchases of timber and timber products during the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The main objective was to analyze, in a qualitative and quantitative way, the public purchases of timber in the Cusco region during the period 2018–2022, and to estimate future timber demand in Cusco. The method used included collecting information from OSCE’s Business Intelligence System (CONOSCE), from which the Annual Procurement Plan (PAC) was obtained. This tool helped to download and organize contract data from the State Electronic Procurement System (SEACE) into an Excel database for processing and analysis. The results showed that 66% of timber and timber product purchases were made through the Simplified Award process, with the Rural Agricultural Productive Development Program - Agro Rural being the main buyer. Also, sawn timber was the most requested product, representing 63.8% of the total volume, the species registered as "common wood" being the most in demand at 20.5%.
