Objetivo: determinar la relación que existe entre el tiempo de espera y la calidad del triaje del personal de enfermería del Servicio de Emergencia en el Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Neurológicas, 2024. Materiales y métodos: el presente estudio se realizará con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, descriptivo de corte transversal y correlacional. La población estará conformada por 160 historias clínicas de los pacientes de emergencia. Para la técnica y recolección de datos se utilizarán dos fichas de registros de datos del tiempo de espera que consta de 3 ítems según hora de triaje (HT), hora de atención (HA) y tiempo de espera (HA – HT)), y de la calidad del triaje que consta de 4 ítems (prioridad I, prioridad II, prioridad III y prioridad IV). Resultados: se expresarán a través de tablas y figuras estadísticas que describirán las dos variables de estudio. Conclusiones: se determinará si existe o no relación entre el tiempo de espera y la calidad del triaje del personal de enfermería del Servicio de Emergencia en el Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Neurológicas; asimismo, el estudio aportará información valiosa para la institución de salud, mediante un tiempo de espera aceptable para brindar una calidad del triaje bueno en beneficio de los pacientes de emergencia y/o usuarios. |

For the technique and data collection, two data registration sheets will be used for the waiting time, consisting of 3 items according to triage time (HT), time of care (HA) and waiting time (HA - HT), and the quality of triage, consisting of 4 items (priority I, priority II, priority III and priority IV). Results: They will be expressed through tables and statistical figures that will describe the two study variables.
