description Objetivo: determinar la relación entre la carga laboral y la calidad de vida en los enfermeros de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital Nacional del Centro Daniel Alcides Carrión de Huancayo, 2025. Materiales y métodos: estudio cuantitativo, de tipo básico, con diseño no experimental-transversal y alcance correlacional. La población estará conformada por 20 licenciados en enfermería de la UCI, aplicándose un muestreo censal. Se utilizaron dos instrumentos: un "Cuestionario de Carga Laboral" basado en el modelo JD-R (con validez por juicio de expertos y confiabilidad mediante Alfa de Cronbach en prueba piloto) y el WHOQOL-BREF de la OMS ya validada por estudios internacionales. El análisis de datos se realizará con SPSS v26, empleando estadística descriptiva y el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson. Resultados: se anticipa encontrar una correlación inversa y estadísticamente significativa entre el puntaje global de carga laboral y el puntaje global de calidad de vida (p < 0.05). Se espera que las dimensiones de demandas emocionales y organizacionales presenten las correlaciones negativas más fuertes con los dominios psicológico y de relaciones sociales de la calidad de vida. Conclusión: se concluirá que existe una relación significativa e inversa entre la carga laboral y la calidad de vida en la población de estudio, lo que sustenta la necesidad de implementar estrategias institucionales dirigidas a la gestión de la carga de trabajo y la promoción del bienestar del personal de enfermería en la UCI.

Materials and methods: a quantitative, basic research type study, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design and a correlational scope. The population will consist of 20 licensed nurses from the ICU, using a census sampling method. Two instruments were used: a "Workload Questionnaire" based on the JD-R model (with validity by expert judgment and reliability through Cronbach's Alpha in a pilot test) and the WHOQOL-BREF from the WHO, already validated by international studies. Data analysis will be performed using SPSS v26, employing descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: an inverse and statistically significant correlation is anticipated between the global workload score and the global quality of life score (p < 0.05). The emotional and organizational demand dimensions are expected to show the strongest negative correlations with the psychological and social relationships domains of quality of life.
