Se encuestó a 199 mujeres de 18 a 50 años que adquirieron AOE en las boticas Lomas y Horizonte, mediante un cuestionario para medir conocimiento y actitud. Resultados: El estudio evaluó a 199 mujeres que adquirieron anticonceptivo oral de emergencia, encontrando que la mayoría tenía conocimiento alto o moderado sobre su uso. También predominó una actitud adecuada hacia el AOE. El análisis estadístico confirmó una relación significativa: a mayor conocimiento, se observaron actitudes más favorables, evidenciando que la información influye en el uso responsable del método. Conclusiones: existe una relación significativa y moderada entre el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud hacia el uso del anticonceptivo oral de emergencia. La mayoría de las mujeres presentó niveles de conocimiento alto y moderado, mientras que solo una minoría evidenció conocimiento bajo. A mayor nivel de conocimiento, se observaron actitudes más adecuadas hacia el uso del AOE en la población estudiada.

Materials and methods: the research had a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional design. A total of 199 women aged 18 to 50 who acquired EOC at Botica Lomas and Horizonte were surveyed using a questionnaire to measure knowledge and attitude. Results: the study evaluated 199 women who acquired emergency oral contraceptives, finding that most had high or moderate knowledge about its use. An adequate attitude toward EOC also predominated. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant relationship: the greater the knowledge, the more favorable attitudes were observed, demonstrating that information influences responsible use of the method. Conclusions: there is a significant and moderate relationship between the level of knowledge and the attitude toward the use of emergency oral contraceptives. Most women presented high and moderate levels of knowledge, while only a minority showed low knowledge.
