description El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo describir la autoestima prevalente en mujeres maltratadas del Asentamiento Humano tres estrellas. El tipo de estudio fue observacional, prospectivo, transversal y descriptivo. El nivel de investigación fue descriptivo y el diseño de investigación fue epidemiológico descriptivo simple de corte transversal. El universo fueron mujeres maltratadas, la población estará constituida por mujeres maltratadas del Asentamiento Humano tres estrellas de la ciudad de Chimbote. El muestreo fue no probabilístico, de tipo por conveniencia, que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y exclusión pues sólo se evaluó a las mujeres que sufren maltrato del asentamiento humano tres estrellas, las cuales se encontraban en sus casas haciendo sus labores domésticos. Llegando a obtener una muestra de n= 250 mujeres maltratadas. El instrumento usado fue la Escala de autoestima de Rosemberg. El resultado del estudio fue que la autoestima prevalente en mujeres maltratadas en Asentamiento Humano tres estrellas, Chimbote, 2017 es alta.
