description El objetivo principal del estudio fue determinar la relación que existe entre el control interno y la gestión de inventarios en la Municipalidad Distrital Veintiséis de Octubre, Piura -2024. Para lograrlo, se llevó a cabo una investigación de tipo cuantitativo, con un diseño descriptivo correlacional no experimental. Para la población se usó los criterios de Inclusión y Exclusión, teniendo 35 colaboradores igual que la muestra, entre la Oficina de Abastecimiento y los Almacenes de la MDVO. Se utilizó la técnica de encuesta, empleando el Formulario Google Forms, a través de un cuestionario de 32 preguntas. Se realizó la Prueba de Normalidad, considerando la Prueba de Shapiro Wilk, donde los datos no tuvieron una distribución normal, por lo tanto, se empleó la Prueba de Spearman donde se obtuvo como resultado general Rho=0,834 y p=0,000. Se concluyó que, existe una correlación positiva significativa muy alta entre el control interno y la gestión de inventarios en la Municipalidad Distrital Veintiséis de Octubre en el año 2024. Este estudio brinda la información necesaria sobre la importancia de una gestión de inventarios adecuados y oportunos en la administración municipal, así como la necesidad de fortalecer el control interno para mejorar la eficiencia en el manejo de los recursos públicos.
