Incorporation of the sustainable development approach for higher education. A teaching proposal from the vision of the common good

The vision of the sustainable development approach aims to incorporate the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to the actions undertaken by the government; however, it is not specified as a public and State policy that allows permeation in complex systems such as higher education, which by having autonomy in the case of normal schools and their public universities, gives an opportunity to change the learning models understanding that education is a continuous process of acquiring knowledge that is transmitted and transits to daily life. With this, the vision of the common good and the sustainable development approach converge from the operational actions visualized in the four dimensions of the University of Munich, summarized in putting the person and the environment/nature at the center of decision-making, allowing Higher Education Institutions (IES) that currently operate to consider the application of said methodologies in teaching and learning models; as is the case of the University of Chapingo in Mexico.
