Descripción
Sumario:The English language is the lingua franca in the world in which various sectors interact, such as the media and international markets. Due to its importance, its learning is present in the educational sector of 138 countries, such as Mexico. Thus, national, and international organizations evaluate its competency domain. This paper reviews the different results of English language exams in Mexico. The methodology is qualitative, based on the first four levels of the new Marzano and Kendall Taxonomy for data collection and analysis. The search and analysis of the information were from primary to bachelor’s degrees. The findings indicate that Mexico has a low proficiency in English language level. Although there have been advances at the primary degree, High School and bachelor require more work to be competent in global communication, which is crucial nowadays.
