La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la calidad de vida y el apoyo social en los adultos mayores del CIAM en San Luis, tomando como muestra a 50 participantes de este centro. El estudio es de tipo básico, correlacional y cuantitativo, utilizando los cuestionarios WHOQOL-BREF para medir la calidad de vida y MOS para evaluar el apoyo social. Los resultados indican que la correlación entre la calidad de vida global del adulto mayor y el apoyo social brindado, según Spearman, es de 0.791, con un valor de p que evidencia una relación alta, positiva y significativa. Este trabajo de investigación servirá como base para estudios más profundos sobre el apoyo social, no solo por parte de la familia, sino también de la comunidad y el Estado, con el fin de mejorar las condiciones reales de calidad de vida de los adultos mayores. |
