La presente trabajo de sufiencia profesional tiene como objetivo principal dar a conocer el nivel de influencia que tiene un programa de conciencia turística sobre el desarrollo del turismo sostenible en la ciudad de Chiclayo, para ello daremos a conocer los aspectos más relevantes de la temática abordada. En el capítulo I, se analiza la realidad problemática del turismo a nivel mundial, nacional, regional y local. Sobre la importancia que tiene el Turismo para el desarrollo de nuestro País, varios autores como por ejemplo (Cebrian, 2008) que reconoce la importancia de un turismo sostenible en el Perú para mayores oportunidades. Capitulo II, se realizó una revisión de la literatura identificando las bases teóricas que nos explican la importancia del turismo sostenible, En donde los autores de varios trabajos científicos han dado a conocer la importancia de la palabra Conciencia Turística aplicada a los agentes turísticos, como el autor (Arris, 1991) afirma que la conciencia turística es un conjunto de actitudes y comportamientos de los habitantes de un lugar turístico que humanizan la recepción del turista a través de la hostilidad y comprensión. Capitulo III, se especifica que instrumentos se utilizaron para la recolección de datos y el diseño metodológico a seguir, se contó con información de DICERTUR. Como último concluimos con el análisis de la información obtenida y las conclusiones y recomendaciones en general.This work of professional sufficiency main objective to present the level of influence that has a tourism awareness program on sustainable tourism development in the city of Chiclayo, for it will tell you the most important aspects of the topics addressed.
