description La investigación busca contribuir al Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS - 16) "Paz, Justicia e Instituciones Sólidas", siendo que los programas gubernamentales relacionadas con la gestión de seguridad del ciudadano es uno de los temas más relevantes para el Estado, por lo que se planteó como objetivo general de la investigación, determinar cómo se relaciona las políticas públicas y la seguridad ciudadana en el distrito del Rímac, 2025. En lo que respecta a la metodología del presente estudio, tiene como enfoque cuantitativo, tipo de investigación básica, nivel descriptivo, obteniéndose como resultado, que el 92.0% de los ciudadanos indicaron que la política pública se encontraba en un nivel deficiente. Por último, se concluyó que la relación entre las políticas públicas y la seguridad ciudadana, reveló una correlación de Spearman de r=0.421, la cual evidencia una asociación positiva moderada entre ambas variables con significancia estadística (p=0.000), confirmando que existe la relación directa entre la calidad, diseño e implementación de las políticas públicas y los incrementos en los indicadores de percepción y efectividad de la seguridad.
