La metodología fue de tipo aplicada, enfoque fue cuantitativo, de corte transversal. El diseño fue experimental de tipo preexperimental y la población fue de 200 pacientes con pie diabético del hospital de Chulucanas, con una muestra censal y el tipo de muestreo fue no probabilístico, por conveniencia. La técnica de recolección de datos usada fue la encuesta y el instrumento fue el cuestionario. Los resultados fueron: El Programa Educativo "Piecito sano" mejoró de manera significativa el nivel de autocuidado en pacientes con pie diabético en el hospital de Chulucanas; en el postest se obtuvo un nivel de autocuidado alto en un 80.00% de pacientes, mientras que en el postest se obtuvo un nivel de autocuidado en sus pies diabéticos alto en un 62% de pacientes. La Conclusión fue: El programa “Piecito Sano” fue efectivo y mejoró el nivel de autocuidado en los pies diabéticos de pacientes con dicha enfermedad, respaldando en una prueba estadística de Wilcoxon con un nivel de significancia de 0,001.
