La metodología adopta un enfoque cuantitativo y diseño experimental, utilizando encuestas y cuestionarios con la Escala de Likert para recopilar datos de 138 individuos de 25 a 29 años seleccionados aleatoriamente en el distrito. El cuestionario virtual, con 12 preguntas, implementó dos modelos: el grupo control presentó noticias con imágenes cercanas a la realidad, mientras que el grupo experimental utilizó imágenes distantes. Los resultados mostraron una significativa disminución en la percepción de credibilidad y veracidad en el grupo experimental, con el 97% mostrando un nivel bajo, en contraste con el alto nivel del grupo control. La comparación entre ambos grupos confirmó diferencias estadísticamente significativas con la prueba "Z" de dos muestras, donde el valor crítico de "Z" de 70.25 superó al valor de "Z" de dos colas con 1.95. En conclusión, la investigación respalda contundentemente la hipótesis alterna, demostrando que la elección de fotografías impacta en la percepción de credibilidad y veracidad de noticias entre los jóvenes adultos de El Porvenir, respaldando esta afirmación con datos cuantitativos sólidos.
