Se realizó una investigación del tipo descriptivo, utilizando un diseño no-experimental, siendo la investigación transversal descriptivo, con una muestra no probabilística de tipo accidental, la muestra estuvo conformada por 113 drogodependientes residentes de comunidades terapéuticas de Lima metropolitana, varones que oscilan en edad entre los 18 a 40 años de edad, se utilizó el inventario de depresión de Beck (BDI-II), adaptado por Sanz, García, Espinoza, Fortún, Vásquez (2005), los resultados obtenidos en la investigación por el índice de confiabilidad de Cronbach es 0.87, mostrando un alto índice de confiabilidad y adecuada validez de constructo.
