Resultados: De los pacientes con diagnóstico de pancreatitis aguda, la mayoría corresponde al sexo femenino (73.60 %), con una edad entre los 40 y 59 años (48.31 %) y de zona rural (66.85 %). El 53.17 % de los pacientes con pancreatitis aguda y PCR/albúmina ≥ 16.3 presentaron complicaciones. El 64.29 % de los pacientes con pancreatitis aguda y PCR/albúmina ≥ 16.3 fallecieron Conclusión: El estudio demuestra una relación significativa entre la proteína C reactiva (PCR) y los niveles de albúmina en el pronóstico de pacientes con pancreatitis aguda.
