description En el presente trabajo de tipo correlacional, transversal, se analizó la relación entre inteligencia emocional y síndrome de burnout en una muestra de 98 operarios de una empresa del rubro industrial de la Provincia Constitucional del Callao; seleccionados mediante un muestreo no probabilístico, por conveniencia. Para la medición de las variables, se emplearon la Trait Meta-Mood Scale-24 (TMMS-24) para la medición de la inteligencia emocional, y el Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) para el síndrome de burnout. Los resultados muestran que la inteligencia emocional correlaciona de manera inversa y significativa con el síndrome de burnout. Asimismo, se halló que el 95.9% de los participantes presentan un nivel bajo de inteligencia emocional y el 67.3% un nivel bajo de Síndrome de burnout. Así también, la dimensión claridad de sentimientos y regulación emocional correlaciona de manera inversa y significativa con el síndrome de burnout.
