description El presente estudio tuvo como finalidad el determinar la relación entre la variable marketing turístico y actividad turística en el distrito de Íllimo, ciudad que pertenece a la región de Lambayeque; para el logro de la investigación se planteó una metodología acorde, siendo el enfoque cuantitativo el ideal para medir niveles de relación entre constructos, fue de tipo básica y contó con un diseño no experimental, trasversal – correlacional. La población que se tuvo en consideración fueron los turistas nacionales y extranjero (hispanohablantes), a quienes se aplicó el cuestionario como instrumento principal para la recolección de información, como parte de la investigación se halló que los 50 encuestados si consideran que el marketing que se desarrolla en el distrito para la captación del turista es regular, teniendo elementos que mejorar como es el mismo producto turístico y la forma promocionar el turismo. El nivel de relación fue de 0.699 – relación moderada; ante ello la solución posible es considerar un replanteamiento de estrategias y líneas de acción del plan de marketing actual, para que dichos rangos y niveles puedan mejorar, debido a que Íllimo, a pesar de ser un distrito que ha sido muy afectado por el fenómeno del Niño, tiene un gran potencial turístico que aún no aprovecha.
