description El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el Presupuesto por resultados y la calidad del gasto en la municipalidad provincial de Morropón, Piura. La investigación corresponde a un estudio básico, condiseño no experimental correlacional. La muestra estuvo formada por 169colaboradores, a quienes se les aplicó un cuestionario constituido por 40 ítems, cuya validez se determinó mediante juicio de expertos y la confiabilidad a través del Alfa de Cronbach, alrededor de 0,872, estableciendo un alto nivel de fiabilidad. Los resultados involucran un conjunto de análisis de las variables, dimensiones e indicadores que reflejan el nivel de relación existente. Después del proceso se procedió a analizar, interpretar y discutir los resultados, concluyendo que se requiere del fortalecimiento del presupuesto por resultados y la calidad del gasto en la municipalidad provincial de Morropón, Piura.
