description El objetivo principal del estudio realizado fue determinar la relación que existe entre gestión ambiental municipal y participación ciudadana, en el distrito de Pueblo Nuevo - Chincha, 2021. Tiene enfoque cuantitativo de tipo básica y diseño transeccional correlacional simple. Con una muestra conformada por 188 pobladores del distrito de Pueblo Nuevo - Chincha, 2021; Se usaron dos cuestionarios, validados a juicio de expertos y con una confiabilidad de 0.855 y 0.868 respectivamente; en el procesamiento de los datos se utilizó el software estadístico SPSS V26. Existe relación directa y positiva entre gestión ambiental municipal y participación ciudadana en el distrito de Pueblo Nuevo - Chincha, 2021; con un Rho= 0.385(correlación positiva baja), y un nivel de significancia menor al 1% (p < 0.01). La gestión ambiental municipal tiene nivel regular según el 61.7%; y la participación ciudadana tiene nivel medio según el 75% de los pobladores del distrito de Pueblo Nuevo - Chincha, 2021. Para reducir los riesgos derivados de la gestión ambiental municipal, es importante la participación ciudadana en el proceso de gestión.
