Determinar de qué manera contribuye el hacinamiento a la vulnerabilidad social en el asentamiento anfibio de la zona baja de Belén - Comunidad San Francisco. La metodología que se utilizó fue de enfoque cualitativo, de tipo básica, de diseño fenomenológico y de corte longitudinal. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación permitieron determinar de qué manera contribuye el hacinamiento a la vulnerabilidad social, mediante el análisis de la zona de estudio. Se llegó a la conclusión de que las personas de la comunidad San Francisco no tienen acceso a una vivienda de calidad. Debido a que ocupan estas construcciones rústicas diseñadas para afrontar las consecuencias de su entorno inmediato, donde el espacio que residen es multifuncional. Las familias que habitan son numerosas, ya que se encuentran aglomeradas en un mismo ambiente. Estas personas viven en estos espacios por la falta de recursos económicos.
