description El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar de qué manera la centralidad del transporte interprovincial influye en la seguridad vial del Jirón Manuel Seoane, Abancay 2022. La metodología utilizada fue de enfoque cualitativo, con diseño fenomenológico y de nivel explicativo; por otro lado para la aplicación del cuestionario se seleccionó 30 participantes que fueron elegidos por conveniencia, así también se entrevistó a cuatro participantes, dentro de los cuales estuvieron dos profesionales especialistas en movilidad urbana sostenible y dos ciudadanos aledaños a la zona de estudio. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron los problemas causados tanto por el tránsito de vehículos pesados por la ciudad como por la concentración de agencias de transporte en una zona céntrica, así también se evidencio las deficiencias generadas por los residuos que emiten estos vehículos, llegando a ser así potenciales generadores de inseguridad vial. Es por ello que se llegó a la conclusión de que la centralidad del transporte interprovincial influye de manera negativa en la seguridad vial de la ciudad.
