description La investigación titulada Gestión ambiental y su relación con el manejo integral de residuos sólidos en la Municipalidad Provincial de San Martín, 2018; tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación entre la Gestión ambiental y el manejo integral de residuos sólidos en la Municipalidad Provincial de San Martin, 2018; la muestra a estudiar estuvo constituida por un total de 86 trabajadores de la MPSM, a quienes se aplicaron los cuestionarios desarrollados como instrumentos de recolección de datos. En el aspecto metodológico la investigación fue de tipo básica con un diseño descriptivo correlacional de corte transversal. Entre los resultados se tiene que: la gestión ambiental fue inadecuada en un 60%; y por su parte el manejo integral reporto un coeficiente de 64%. La conclusión a la cual se arribó fue que: existe una relación significativa entre la gestión ambiental y manejo de los residuos sólidos en la Municipalidad Provincial de San Martin; con un coeficiente de correlación de 0,689; se hizo esta afirmación debido a que el sig. Bilateral fue menor al margen de error (0.000 < 0.05); validando de esta forma la hipótesis de investigación y el rechazo de la hipótesis nula.
