Resultados: El 64% de los pacientes hipertensos tuvo depresión leve; el 33,6% depresión moderada y el 2,3% depresión severa. El 74,8% de los pacientes hipertensos fue adherente a su tratamiento; mientras el 25,2% no fue adherente al tratamiento. Se observó una significancia estadística entre las variables estadística por tanto se asume que ambas variables están asociadas (p≤0,05). Concluyendo que existe asociación significativa la depresión y adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con hipertensión arterial.
