description El presente trabajo tiene como propósito analizar la labor de la Demuna municipal frente al maltrato infantil y la protección del bienestar del niño, respecto a sus derechos y el resguardo de su interés superior ante cualquier situación de peligro o de colisión de derechos. El cual se desarrollaran en un tipo de estudio cualitativo, donde utilizaremos como técnica de recolección de datos la entrevista. Donde se concluye el papel importante de La Demuna en la protección del niño y niña, defender y difundir sus derechos y de velar por su interés superior. Sin embargo esta no cuenta con una gestión eficiente, ni un tratamiento eficaz y adecuado para el maltrato infantil.
