description Este trabajo exploró la realidad problemática en torno a los actos típicos del delito de extorsión y su afectación a la seguridad jurídica en la ciudad de Lima, contribuyendo al ODS-16, el cual se basa en la Paz, la Justicia e Instituciones sólidas, presentando como objetivo general analizar de qué manera el delito de extorsión afecta la seguridad jurídica en la ciudad de Lima, luego como primer objetivo específico se analizó la alteración de los presupuestos del delito de extorsión que afectaron a la seguridad jurídica y como segundo objetivo específico se analizó cuál fue el impacto significativo que prevalece en los presupuestos del delito de extorsión que afectaron a la seguridad jurídica. Se utilizó como tipo de investigación un enfoque cualitativo, descriptivo y explicativo. Las bases de datos de donde se recopiló la información fueron de datos académicos y revistas indexadas como Scopus, Dialnet, Renati y análisis de documentos cuyos principales resultados fueron una gran diferencia entre los diversos hallazgos obtenidos a nivel internacional y nacional siendo similares en la problemática de la extorsión y la afectación a la seguridad jurídica como ciudadano.
