Este estudio realizó una revisión sistemática de investigaciones publicadas entre 2014 y 2024 en bases de datos como PubMed, Scielo y Cochrane. Se priorizaron biomarcadores en líquido cefalorraquídeo (LCR), como Aβ42, T-tau y P-tau, y emergentes en sangre, como P-tau181 y NfL. Los resultados mostraron que los biomarcadores en LCR, combinados con neuroimágenes como la tomografía por emisión de positrones (PET), ofrecen una alta precisión diagnóstica, con una sensibilidad del 92% y una especificidad del 85%. Los biomarcadores sanguíneos se destacaron por ser una alternativa menos invasiva y más accesible, permitiendo una detección temprana y facilitando un diagnóstico más generalizado, especialmente considerando que los cambios cerebrales pueden preceder a los síntomas hasta en 20 años. En conclusión, se resalta la importancia de integrar biomarcadores en LCR y sangre en la práctica clínica, junto con neuroimágenes, para mejorar la detección precoz de la EA y posibilitar un manejo más efectivo de la enfermedad.
