Metodología: el estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo; diseño no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional, prospectivo y de cohorte transversal. Población: 257; muestra: 126 alumnos. Resultados: Grupo etario: 10 a 11 años (36,4%); sexo masculino (54%), ÍCeo-d: muy alto riesgo (46%), ICPO-D riesgo moderado 78 (61,9%). ÍCeo-d en el femenino muy alto riesgo con 7.12, el CPO-D en el masculino con 4. 50 alto riesgo. Grupo etario e ICeo-d: de 06 a 07 años muy alto con 8.61; ICPO-D de 08 a 09 años con 4.55, alto riesgo. Alimentos cariogénicos: bajo riesgo con 72 (57,1%); IHO-S regular con 112 (88,9%). Relación de hábitos alimenticios, bajo riesgo con 56, 9% (41), ICPO-D moderado. ICeo-d muy alto y hábitos alimenticios bajo riesgo con 44, 4% (32). Relación ICPO-D moderado e IHO-S regular 67,0% (75); Ceo-d riesgo muy alto y el IHO-S regular 47,3% (53). Hábitos alimenticios bajo riesgo con 86,1% (62.) e IHO-S regular. Relación hábitos alimenticios Bajo riesgo en niños de 10 a 11 años con 56,5% (26) y sexo masculino con 57,3%. Relación del IHO-S regular, grupo etario de 10 a 11 años con 84,8% (39) y sexo masculino con 89,7%. Se encontró relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables caries dental y dieta cariogénica (X2=16,781; p_valor= 0,032 <0,05). Conclusiones: La relación de caries dental y la dieta cariogénica es estadísticamente significativa y si el valor cariogénico aumenta, habrá incremento del índice Ceo-d. |

Age group and ICeo-d: from 06 to 07 years very high with 8.61; ICPO-D from 08 to 09 years with 4.55, high risk. Cariogenic foods: low risk with 72 (57.1%); Regular IHO-S with 112 (88.9%). Relationship of eating habits, low risk with 56.9% (41), ICPO-D moderate. ICeo-d very high and eating habits low risk with 44.4% (32). Moderate ICPO-D relationship and regular OHI-S 67.0% (75); CEO-d very high risk and regular OHI-S 47.3% (53). Low risk eating habits with 86.1% (62.) and regular IHO-S. Relationship eating habits Low risk in children from 10 to 11 years with 56.5% (26) and males with 57.3%. Regular IHO-S ratio, age group from 10 to 11 years with 84.8% (39) and male sex with 89.7%. A statistically significant relationship was found between the dental caries and cariogenic diet variables (X2=16.781; p.value= 0.032 <0.05).
