description El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre el síndrome de burnout y el desempeño laboral en los enfermeros de un Hospital Militar de Lima en el año 2025. Se aplicó el método hipotético - deductivo , de tipo básica, enfoque cuantitativo , alcance correlacional y diseño de corte transversal correlacional. La población estuvo conformada por 248 licenciados en enfermería y la muestra representativa es de 151 participantes , seleccionados con un muestreo no probabilismo por conveniencia . Se aplicaron dos cuestionarios para recolectar los datos , los que fueron validados mediante prueba piloto. Los hallazgos revelaron que el 57 % de la muestra presentó un nivel de burnout bajo, y dentro de este grupo, el 43 % mostró un desempeño laboral alto. En contraste, solo el 22 % de los enfermeros con burnout medio alcanzó un desempeño alto, mientras que el 21 % presentó un desempeño medio. No se registraron casos de burnout alto ni de desempeño laboral bajo . Estos hallazgos sugieren que, a menor nivel de burnout, mayor es el desempeño laboral . Se concluye que existe una relación negativa y significativa entre el síndrome de burnout y el desempeño laboral en los enfermeros de un Hospital Militar de Lima, con un valor de correlación de Rho de Spearman = - 0,323 y una significancia estadística muy alta (p<0 , 01), lo cual señala que, a mayores niveles de burnout, menor es el desempeño laboral reportado.
