description La tuberculosis sigue siendo un asunto de salud global, y la OMS como el Estado peruano, tiene como objetivo su erradicación para el año 2035, pero priorizando la salud mental de los pacientes. El presente estudio tuvo el objetivo de analizar la interacción entre autoestima, apoyo social y adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes de tuberculosis en centros de salud de primer nivel en Huancayo. Se llevó a cabo un estudio transversal, analítico, y cuantitativo en 40 pacientes tratados. Los resultados revelaron que el 84.0 % de los pacientes de autoestima mediana baja tuvo mala adherencia, mientras que esta se invierte en pacientes con autoestima mediana alta, donde el 83.3 % tuvo buena adherencia. La prueba de Fisher exacta y rho de Spearman validaron que una relación estadísticamente significativa entre autoestima y adherencia (p < 0.05). Por otro lado, se observó que el 92.0 % de los pacientes con pobre apoyo social tienen mala adherencia, mientras que el 80.0 % de los pacientes con buen apoyo social tienen buena adherencia. En este contexto, las pruebas estadísticas confirmaron la existencia de una relación significativa (p < 0.05). En resumen, la autoestima y el apoyo social juegan un papel determinante en la adherencia al tratamiento de tuberculosis. Fortalecer el bienestar psicológico y consolidar redes de apoyo social pueden mejorar el cumplimiento terapéutico, reduciendo el riesgo de abandono y contribuyendo al éxito del tratamiento.
