La investigación fue de carácter descriptivo - correlacional, aplicando la estadística para cuantificar los resultados, el diseño es no experimental; la población estuvo conformada por el personal del área de turismo de la municipal del distrito de San Jerónimo de la ciudad del Cusco y los turistas que visitan San Jerónimo. Las técnicas empleadas fueron la observación y la encuesta, utilizando fichas de observación y cuestionarios como instrumentos. Las conclusiones obtenidas en el presente trabajo de investigación fue que la gestión municipal, y sus diferentes dimensiones, presenta una correlación significativa con la promoción turística; es decir, que la gestión municipal y la promoción turística del distrito de San Jerónimo se relacionan, en otras palabras, los esfuerzos, decisiones y demás acciones que la municipalidad genere, tendrá una respuesta en la promoción turística del distrito, ya que ambas variables se interrelacionan.

The investigation was descriptive - correlational, applying the statistics to quantify the results, the design is not experimental. The population was conformed by the personnel of the area of tourism of the municipal district of San Jerónimo of the city of Cusco and the tourists who visit San Jerónimo. The techniques used were observation and survey, using observation cards and questionnaires as instruments.
