Para ello, se empleó un enfoque correlacional. Los resultados evidencian la relevancia del parafraseo en el proceso de comprensión de texto, observándose que 41 estudiantes, equivalentes al 64 % de la muestra, demostraron un desempeño significativo. Se concluyó que existe una correlación muy alta entre ambas variables, alcanzando un coeficiente de 0.747. En cuanto a los niveles de comprensión, se identificó una relación alta con el nivel literal (r = 0.626), con el nivel inferencial (r = 0.683) y con el nivel crítico (r = 0.752).
