Developing new technologies will allow supply chains, mainly in manufacturing companies, to change their paradigms, achieving a competitive advantage over others. This article’s main objective is to investigate the current state of Industry 4.0 in supply chains, exploring the technologies that enable it, the existing uses in the processes, its benefits, and its challenges. For this purpose, a systematic literature review was conducted, in addition to bibliometric analysis.

En teoría, esta nueva revolución tecnológica puede transformar por completo las industrias y sus modelos de negocio, ya que existen nuevas formas de ofrecer valor a los clientes. El desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías permitirá que las cadenas de suministro, principalmente en las empresas manufactureras, cambien sus paradigmas, logrando una ventaja competitiva sobre otras. El principal objetivo de este artículo es investigar el estado actual de la Industria 4.0 en las cadenas de suministro, explorando las tecnologías que la habilitan, los usos existentes en los procesos, sus beneficios y sus desafíos.
