To find a solution within the framework of the circular economy, this work seeks to determine the technological and environmental feasibility of replacing traditional concrete sand with polymetallic tailings. Therefore, different mixtures of concrete with polymetallic tailings were made to determine the workability, unit weight, temperature, air content, and resistance of each of them. Consequently, it was concluded that polymetallic tailings can partially replace sand in conventional concrete for basic structural applications such as floors, walls, and pedestals.

Consequently, it was concluded that polymetallic tailings can partially replace sand in conventional concrete for basic structural applications such as floors, walls, and pedestals.La minería es uno de los sectores que genera mayores riquezas en el Perú, sin embargo, los relaves que produce pueden tener impactos negativos en el medio ambiente si no son correctamente tratados, y el almacenamiento de estos implica altos costos para las industrias mineras. En aras de buscar una solución en el marco de la economía circular, este trabajo busca determinar la viabilidad tecnológica y ambiental de reemplazar la arena del concreto tradicional por relave polimetálico. Para ello se realizaron distintas mezclas de concreto con relave polimetálico para determinar la trabajabilidad, peso unitario, temperatura, contenido de aire y resistencia de estas.
