This study will determine consumer's willingness to pay (WTP) for E2G by applying surveys using the double-bounded dichotomous choice contingent valuation method (CVM). A total of 472 consumers of premium and regular gasohol in Metropolitan Lima were asked about their WTP for E2G, demographic characteristics, vehicle usage and level of perception related to the environment. It was found that users of premium and regular gasohol would be willing to pay a premium of 10.40% and 7.03% respectively. Likewise, it was obtained that people who have a higher perceived consumer effectiveness (PCE) are more likely to pay a premium for E2G.

Una alternativa que está comenzando a comercializarse internacionalmente, la cual reduce las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y aplica la economía circular en su producción, es el bioetanol de segunda generación (E2G); sin embargo, en Perú no existen políticas para su comercialización en la mezcla actual de gasohol. Este estudio determinará la disposición a pagar (WTP) de los consumidores por E2G mediante encuestas utilizando el método de valoración contingente de elección dicotómica de doble límite (CVM). Se encuestó a un total de 472 consumidores de gasohol premium y regular en Lima Metropolitana sobre su disposición a pagar por E2G, características demográficas, uso vehicular y nivel de percepción relacionado con el medio ambiente. Se encontró que los usuarios de gasohol premium y regular estarían dispuestos a pagar una prima de 10.40% y 7.03%, respectivamente.
