The essay discusses and showcases the work of four collectors in Peru. The description of their collections is parallel to theoretical counterpoints in order to show new ways to investigate the past.Este trabajo destaca el valor de los coleccionistas para la reconstrucción de la historia del deporte peruano y, en este caso, de un equipo de fútbol. Se afirma, por un lado, que una colección cumple una función similar a la de un archivo documental y, por otro, que esta posee fuentes heterodoxas e inéditas para la reconstrucción de la historia. El ensayo comenta y muestra la labor de cuatro coleccionistas en el Perú.
