This paper presents some of the results of a Ph.D. thesis on Tourism Studies that presents a proposal for the enhancement of the cultural heritage at the Dar Debbagh tanneries in Marrakesh. The project proposes the creation of an interpretation center devoted to tanners and the processing of leather. Following the principles of heritage interpretation, we analyze the assets that can contribute to make these tanneries a heritage resource and a quality destination for cultural tourism.
Este trabajo presenta uno de los resultados obtenidos en una investigación de especialidad en turismo. Se plantea una propuesta para la valoración del patrimonio cultural de las tenerías de Dar Debbagh en Marrakech, con el fin de crear un centro de interpretación dedicado a los curtidores y al trabajo del cuero. Teniendo como base los principios de la interpretación patrimonial, analizamos los aspectos que pueden hacer de estas famosas tenerías un recurso patrimonial y una oferta turística cultural de calidad.
