Sumario:This study examines the admissibility of amparo for violations of the proportionality principle in resolutions of political banning imposed by the Congress of the Republic. It concludes that the Constitutional Court can rule on the constitutionality of the degree of political banning sanction, but cannot intervene in the political considerations that underlie it.
