The results obtained after collecting, classifying and filtering the investigations that determine the efficacy and adverse events of COVID-19 vaccines, it is concluded that the vaccines licensed and used against SARS-CoV-2 are effective in reducing the severity of the disease with minimal adverse events.El objetivo del artículo es analizar, resumir y presentar las mejores evidencias científicas que demuestran la eficacia y los eventos adversos de vacunas contra el SARS-CoV-2 autorizadas en los años 2020 y 2021, cuyo método utilizado radicó en la búsqueda principalmente en las bases de datos de: PadMed, CDC, EBSCO, Dynamed, y Google Académico, sobre las investigaciones publicadas en estos años, sin restricciones de idioma priorizando el inglés y utilizando los términos "vacuna", "SARS-CoV-2", "Eficacia" "Seguridad" "Efectos Secundarios", incluyendo todos los estudios que determinen la eficacia y eventos adversos de estas vacunas y excluyendo aquellas que analicen las alergias, anafilaxia.
