Main results: The main organic-systemic sequelae are: neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and psychiatric/psychological. On the other hand, health professionals are required to provide comprehensive care to the patient, being humane professionals and sensitive to the multi-organ disorders of people with persistent COVID-19. Overall conclusion: Given the importance of interaction with people affected by persistent COVID-19, collaboration and coordination between health professionals in the area of ​​medicine, nursing, psychology and physical therapy is essential for effective treatment.Objetivo: Describir las principales secuelas del COVID-19 y el papel de los profesionales de la salud. Método: Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica basada en los descriptores de salud de diversas bases de datos. Se seleccionaron algunos artículos y se analizaron de acuerdo con las categorías generales de signos, síntomas y secuelas. Resultados principales: Las principales secuelas a nivel orgánico-sistémico son: neurológicas, respiratorias, cardiovasculares, musculoesqueléticas y psiquiátricas/ psicológicas. Por otro lado, se requiere que los profesionales de la salud brinden una atención integral al paciente, siendo profesionales humanos y sensibles ante las alteraciones multiorgánicas de las personas que presentan COVID-19 persistente.
