It proceeds by citing situations and extracts from it, by offering a reflection on the future of humanity in accordance with the concepts mentioned above, giving an account of the complex and sublime universe of Kentukis, as well as the relationships between life, subjectivity, identity and fictional characters, on the one hand; and contemporary reality in the 21st century, on the other hand. The above is undertaken by interspersing ethical and bioethical arguments and reflections that directly concern, and in particular the ominous and growing role that technology plays in the daily events of human life.Este trabajo tiene como objetivo central presentar conceptos tales como “posthumanismo” y “transhumanismo”, estableciendo conexiones y diferencias entre estos para dar cuenta de cómo la humanidad se relaciona con la tecnología actualmente. El espacio sobre el cual se ponen en comunicación dichos conceptos es la novela de carácter distópico Kentukis (2018), de la escritora Samanta Schweblin. Se procede citando situaciones y extractos de esta, ofreciendo una reflexión sobre el devenir de la humanidad de acuerdo con los conceptos arriba mencionados, dando cuenta del complejo y sublime universo de Kentukis, así como las relaciones entre la vida, la subjetividad, la identidad y los personajes de la ficción, por un lado; y, la realidad contemporánea en pleno siglo XXI, por otro lado.
