Through an exhaustive study of the problematic situation, the theoretical framework, and the characteristics of both programs, the results and limitations in meeting the housing needs of their respective beneficiaries are evaluated. The work is based on a qualitative approach, based on documentary review and critical analysis of primary and secondary sources. Likewise, throughout the article, the criticisms associated with each program are explored and recommendations are formulated to improve their effectiveness. Finally, conclusions are presented that seek to contribute to the improvement of social policies in the area of social housing.Este artículo tiene como propósito realizar un análisis comparativo entre los programas sociales de vivienda Renta Joven en Perú y la Bolsa de Vivienda de Alquiler en Barcelona, España. A través de un estudio exhaustivo de la situación problemática, el marco teórico, y las características de ambos programas, se evalúan los resultados y las limitaciones en la atención de las necesidades habitacionales de sus respectivos beneficiarios. El trabajo se apoya en un enfoque cualitativo, basado en la revisión documental y en el análisis crítico de fuentes primarias y secundarias. Asimismo, a lo largo del artículo, se exploran las críticas asociadas a cada programa y se formulan recomendaciones para mejorar su eficacia.
