The study population and sample consisted of 80 workers. The results, when comparing the statistical data of 2022 and 2023, a reduction in the number of accidents and incidents was achieved, indicating a significant decrease in the number of accidents by 73%, with the implementation of the SBC methodology, very positive results have been obtained by educating, training and training workers, increasing their level of knowledge and awareness of safety. Also, the trends show an increase of 89.4% in safe behaviours and a decrease of 10.7% in risky attitudes. It is concluded, the SBC methodology has a significant impact, changing risky behaviour to safe behaviour helps to prevent and reduce accidents.El objetivo del estudio fue mejorar el sistema de gestión de seguridad mediante la implementación de seguridad basada en el comportamiento con el fin de reducir el índice de accidentabilidad en la empresa minera Raura. Metodológicamente, se utilizó un diseño cuasi- experimental con un enfoque cuantitativo de nivel descriptivo. Se utilizaron las técnicas de encuestas y observación, la información se recopiló mediante el uso de cartillas de observación y cuestionarios. La población y muestra del estudio estuvo compuesta por 80 trabajadores. Los resultados, al comparar los datos estadísticos de 2022 y 2023, arrojaron que se logró reducir en un 73 % el número de accidentes e incidentes con la implementación de la metodología SBC. Además, se han obtenido resultados muy positivos al formar, capacitar y entrenar a los trabajadores, aumentando su nivel de conocimientos y concienciación en materia de seguridad. Asimismo, las tendencias muestran un aumento del 89,4 % en los comportamientos seguros y una disminución del 10.7% en las actitudes riesgosas.
