El presente artículo sobre un tema inédito en la historiografía palmista busca exponer el desempeño del ilustre tradicionista durante la visita a nuestra capital hecha por don Carlos de Borbón, pretendiente carlista a la corona de sus mayores con el numeral VII. Para ello, previamente expondremos el conocimiento de dicho reclamo dinástico en la prensa limeña, para luego abordar la visita en sí y la actuación que nos interesa.
