description The present study was carried out in order to diagnose the level of knowledge about sexuality and reproductive health in secondary education teachers and its influence on the level of information in students of the Educational Institution Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Lima, Perú, of a quantitative nature with a hypothetical deductive approach, of applied type, causal-explanatory correlational of cross-sectional design, the technique used was the survey, with two questionnaires. The surveys were conducted during 2019 with 15 teachers who teach the course on personal development, citizenship and civics, then the questionnaire was applied to 243 students in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th year of secondary school about Knowledge of sexual education and reproductive health. Conclusion according to the results obtained that the students have a low level of information about sexuality and reproductive health, sexual experience, and protection. Regarding teachers, the results show that reinforcement is required in issues about human sexuality regarding relationships and knowledge of sexual practices, effective educational strategies, and care of the body, and they have an influence on the information they provide to students. It is recommended that the teacher, in addition to their knowledge and professional updating in the subject involved, must have the personal skills to deal with the contents with fluency and spontaneity proposed in the program, free of limitations on the subject of sexuality. Keywords: Knowledge – Human sexuality – Protection – Reproductive health – Sex education – SexualityEl presente estudio se realizó con la finalidad de diagnosticar el nivel de conocimiento sobre sexualidad y salud reproductiva en docentes de educación secundaria y su influencia en el nivel de información en estudiantes de la institución Educativa Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Lima, Perú. La investigación es de naturaleza cuantitativa con enfoque hipotético deductivo, de tipo aplicada, correlacional causal-explicativa de diseño transversal. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta, con dos cuestionarios. Las encuestas se realizaron durante el 2019 en 15 docentes que dictan el curso de desarrollo personal, ciudadanía y cívica, luego se procedió a aplicar el cuestionario a 243 alumnos del 3er, 4to y 5to año de secundaria sobre el conocimiento de educación sexual y salud reproductiva.  Los resultados obtenidos señalan que los estudiantes tienen un bajo nivel de información acerca de la sexualidad y salud reproductiva, experiencia y protección sexual. En cuanto a los docentes, los resultados muestran que se requiere un reforzamiento en temas acerca de la sexualidad humana respecto de las relaciones y conocimiento de prácticas sexuales, estrategias eficaces de educación y cuidados del cuerpo, y tienen influencia en la información que brindan a los estudiantes. Se concluye que el docente, además de sus conocimientos y actualización profesional en la temática involucrada, debe contar con las competencias personales para abordar los contenidos con fluidez y espontaneidad propuestos en el programa, libres de limitaciones sobre el tema de la sexualidad.
