The text will also analyse the importance of the creative ability and interpretation that the contemporary architect must possess.El presente artículo detallará los resultados de las investigaciones sobre «Los ratones de fray Martín» y «Al pie de la letra», textos que forman parte de las Tradiciones peruanas, obra representativa del tradicionalista Ricardo Palma. Nos interesa resaltar la relación de la habilidad creativa y la interpretación de los personajes fray Martín y el capitán Paiva con el perfil profesional de la carrera de Arquitectura, propia del siglo XIX, al ser la habilidad creativa y la interpretación partes del perfil del arquitecto actual.
