In this sense, a review was made of articles published in the Diario El Comercio of Lima, Peru, which were related to health. It was found that newspapers publish very little science and technology related news for different reasons. In this sense, a complementary work between scientists and journalists is recommended so that the news related to science is as truthful and understandable as possible for people who are not specialists in the subject. Keywords: diary – healthcare professionals – health sciences – science journalism – topic choiceLa mayoría de las personas no tienen acceso a la información, y si se trata de temas sobre ciencia, la desinformación es aún mayor. La prensa científica justamente es la especialidad que se encarga de ser el nexo entre los adelantos científicos y la sociedad, para que las noticias sean divulgadas y hacerlas comprensibles para la población. El tal sentido, se hizo una revisión de artículos publicados en el Diario El Comercio de Lima, Perú, que tenían relación con la salud. Se encontró que los diarios publican muy pocas noticias relacionadas ciencia y tecnología por diferentes motivos. En este sentido, se recomienda un trabajo complementario entre los científicos y los periodistas para que las noticias referidas a la ciencia, sean lo más veraces y entendibles posibles para las personas que no son especialistas en el tema.
