Specifically, the balance of César Vallejo’s plays evidences the commitment and exhaustive search of the famous bard to elaborate an innovative artistic composition. In this sense, the present research aims to review the perspectives of literary criticism regarding the play Colacho hermanos (1934). Las aproximaciones críticas sobre el teatro peruano en el siglo XX han contribuido a verificar el procedimiento de la representación escé­ nica y el modo de elaboración estilística de la composición dramática. Este acercamiento ha propiciado una secuencialidad de acercamientos al proceso teatral relacionada con diversas tendencias o sensibilidades establecidas en varios períodos. De manera específica, el balance de las piezas teatrales de César Vallejo evidencia el compromiso y la exhaustiva búsqueda del afamado vate por elaborar una composición artística innovadora. En ese sentido, la presente investigación pretende revisar las perspectivas de la crítica literaria respecto a la obra Colacho hermanos (1934).
