Finally, I analyse the presence of the anthology in the poems «Simbolista», the first version of «Retablo», from Los heraldos negros, and in Trilce «LV».Este artículo se centra en el impacto de la presencia de La poesía francesa moderna en la poesía y la poética de César Vallejo. Primero examino cómo Vallejo procesa y cita sus lecturas en su tesis El Romanticismo en la poesía castellana y describo someramente la antología de Díez-Canedo y Fortún. Luego, sitúo a Vallejo y su lectura de la poesía simbolista francesa traducida en el contexto socio-literario peruano entre 1914 y 1922, año de publicación de Trilce.
